Engine Question - EGR valve
#2
Yes it should....any OBDI car should have an EGR valve, or any emissions controlled car for that matter should have one. I don't have a 93, so I can't tell you where it would be, but generally around the valve cover with vacuum lines attached to it is a good starting point. Have you passed emissions? Is your engine throwing an EGR code?

Almost true but most of the new iVTEC motors (RSX, 02- CR-V, Element) don't. Of course they utilize exhaust gases but the variable valve timing system allows for some exhaust gases to go back in through the intake.
pktrkt,
I am also not sure where it is either on your car.

MY SiR, it's amazing the number of changes our beloved Hondas have gone through, like the lack of a fuel pressure reg now, and also, as you now mentioned, the lack of EGR. However, the fewer components, the fewer problems So Honda gets a big for their pioneering tech. Hey Mark, ever found anything about the clutch chatter on those 6th gens in the cold?

bbarbulo,
I am not aware of problems with 6th gen clutch chatter (mind you I look mainly at the newest models). I guess they fixed it.
pktrkt,
Actually, your car may not have an EGR valve. I was looking at the parts book and it only showed one for a VX. If there is one, it should be attached to the intake manifold in front of (front meaning the front of the car) the throttle body.
