Engine Question

i have a b16, gen 2 in a 93 civic, what is involved to put it into a 98 hatch back, or coupe. Im just wondering what i need to do if anything, to get it in there properly. Any help would be appreciated.

rear tranny mount and drive side bracket from a 99-00 si-r. and all the b-series parts (axles, linkage, etc)

you'll also need a conversion harness to run a obd1 ecu

How much am i looking at for all that

actually you need the rear tranny bracket (T-mount) from an SiR and the Post mount that bolts to the engine block from an SiR. If the car is originally manual then everything else is bolt up.

All mounts from 99-00 Honda Civic SiR (US Si)
Note: The transmission mounts are for the 99-00 SiR tranny. If someone could confirm that they would also fit the Integra transmissions it would make this thread more usefull! the T-Belt mount will fit any B Series engine however.)

Timing Belt Mount
Part # 11910-P30-000
(Mount bolts to the block underneath the timimg belt cover)

Transmission Mount (top) **Update: All hydraulic trans use the same mount, therefore this mount is not required**
Part # 50825-S04-000

Rear Mount (t-shaped bracket)
Part # 50827-S04-N10

Torque Mounts left/right
I don't have these part numbers. If anyone can contribute it would be appreciated.
The transmission torque mount required will be for any Integra 94-up and Civic Si (Canadian SiR) 99-00. The A/C torque mount will be specific to the engine you have.

All three mounts retail for about $200.00 CDN direct from Honda

my mistake.

For this one its specific to the chassis/year, so manual 96-00 all share the same whereas the 92-95 all share the same but are different than the 96-00.

so.. if you swap on obd1 tranny into an ek.. the ek mount won't work?

nope the upper tranymission mount from an eg will not work in an EK chassis. On the EK mount the bushing is bolted to the frame whereas on the eg the bushing is on the mount on the transmission (could be the other way around)

so how can z6 trannys bolt right up to EK chassis mounts?

because you use the upper tranny mount off of your old tranny (from your EK)

here's a picture to illustrate it to you
1992-1995 Civic Upper Tranny Mount is #4 in the picture

1996-2000 Civic Upper Tranny Mount is #6 in the picture

:cake:

For reference Paolo if your putting it into a 96-00 Civic with a MT already you only need #7 and the Mount in the bottom right corner listed as E-14-1.
