Engine noise..problem...

I have a D16z6 swapped into my EF but it's making a wierd vibrating/screaching sound. with the car in neutral and just idling the engine sounds great but as I rev it up to 3200rpm its strats this noise. as I rev up to 500rpm the noise is still there but you can barely hear it because of I presume the resonance of whatever it is. any ideas as to what it may be? Thanks... please dont tell me i need another ****ing swap!

We'd have to hear the sound. Could be exhaust rubbing or loose baffling in a muffler..hard to say...

it might be because civics are $hit boxes...

you should be banned, oh btw, did you really read your profile, it says 04 civic SI, guess you got a ****box too...

check your valves, & timing belt didnt slip when you were getting it all together...
is your exhaust hitting your shifter?, or maybe a mount is loose.

How is your oil level ? it could be a rod baring or a crank baring if your engine burns oil and you rev it hard on low oil levels. If the noise continues to get louder and worse over time, it is possible that it could be a baring. And if it is, well, kiss the motor goodbye, but that is only if it is, I havnt heard it.
