Engine Mounts

I'm looking for some inexpensive mounts for my 1991 civic cx to put a B16a in there... can i trust the ones on ebay.. like i think hcp.... or sum other no-name "racing" mounts that claim to have proper clearence for the hood and down pipe... i want to make sure that i'm getting a good product... and my engine doesn't fall throughi would like to save my money and put it towards wometing else rather than buy the ahsport mounts........ is there any shops with less expensive mounts.. .. i got mounts with it... but i think their the jdm ones.. i doubt they'll fit.. ??

hcp will do you fine.. HCP ENGINEERING is actually known, i think their site is hcpengineering.com

I wouldn't buy the no name mounts..

Main difference will be the vibrations you get out from the mounts into the car.. I have HCPs for my h22.. There is some vibration but nothing insane considering the motor I got in there..

look up AVID COMPONENT mounts.. if u can find some info on it then do it..

I know there's a lotta guys who go out and copy mounts and then sell em online.. it's the same ****.. but if the welds are much weaker you could get screwed.. i doubt it though. I think they'd be ok..

if done right there is nothin wrong with this method...how do you think they did it before hasport and other companies made mounts?

heck, I'd do the same thing if I had a welder...saves $400 atleast from the price of the swap

^ya really all they have to do it relocate the mounts to were the jdm sir mounts were located...so before hasport they woudl get a front clip and copy the mount position...but most the time its' jsut eyeballed into place.

well i guess i'm going to stick with the mounts... i dunt understand how these ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=50454 ) are offered at such a cheap price.. they seem decent ... i'm going to New York tommorrow and I found a aftermarket shop that will sell HCP mounts for 333cdn... ( www.imortworkz.com ) .. so I'm going to check it out.. and once i get back the project is back on
