engine light,and speedo problems...

Hey all, My engine light comes on whenever i drive the car for about 10-20 minutes or so, Also my speedo stops working but everything else seems to be working on the cluster like tach, gas, temp. The car seems to be running fine but this happened a couple of days ago when it was poring rain.
please any help would be apreciated...

Yeay - sounds like VSS is loose... unplug it and clean the connection . . it will be fine after that.
