engine light on!!!

ok my engine light came on.... so here we go i got a 95 civic cx with originaly came with the 1.5 L non vetc engine and and ecu with a trouble shooting light( the light flashes and tells you what code it is).. BUT i upgraded the engine and now have the 1.5L vtec with a P28 ecu i belive and this doesn't have the trouble shooting light .. so i heard that there is a way to use a cotter pin and plug it in the ecu so it sends the code to the check engine light and the check engine light flashs the code... what i need to know is what pin connections do i use??? if anyone could help that would be great

well 2 flashes could be

oxygen sensor #2, electrical load detector or VTC system malfunction

Were they short flashes or long flashes???

It makes a difference when you count to determine the number that corresponds to the ECU troubleshooting list.

1 quick question. So say if the code is #20 for example. How would the zero show up? like long long and pause? or what? I was just curious. Can anyone reply back thanx.
