engine light

Whats up guys...the other day I started my ride and my engine light stayed on....I turned the car off and started it up again...the light went off.....this happened once more after the first instance...now my question is...what wire do i have to jump inorder to see what code I'm getting....my ecu does not have a light on it....I know that there is a wire that can be jumped and the engine light will flash the code....can anyone help me...thks in advance....

I have the same problem.
I'll start the car and the engine light is on, so I just shut it off and restart, and the light is off.

ya but this is a problem....gotta fix it..anyone know what wire to jump?

under the dash on the passanger side there is a 2 pin female connector. sick a paperclip in it and turn the key to ON. then count the flashes.

dont forget to reset the ecu after you fix whatever the problem is.
