After Jugglez little spill, I feel like we are on uneven grounds. Either I'm way over my head and am speaking to a master of engine tech or you teasing me for the fun of it. Which is it??

PS: for real, no more hacking each other. Bad bad BAD day for me and my car, hence bad mood.

civic_hb96 30-Jul-2002 02:21 AM

dunno if i should stick my head in the boiling pot again, but i feel i have to somewhat defend myself after my being skooled so badly in the last thread.

plus i like teasing:p all in fun, so no hard feelings :bling:

i have one in her ride that's how i know about it. i also have two(2) spare heads for it. i have done lots of research into a b20Vtech so i know quite a bit about that motor. 125tq at the wheels? ha what rigged dyno you get that from. 133tq at the flywheel is not going to get 125 at the wheels. JR dyno'd the b20b at 113tq at the wheels. when i dyno it i'll show you the papers ok?
ever think that honda underated there motors on paper? i cant remember the exact numbers but the b16(99-00) was underated so that sales of GSR's wouldnt drop. they were putting down close dyno numbers stock.
you dont have to take that for fact, but do take this for fact. a stock 99 JDM b20b WILL/HAS put down 130hp/125trq to the WHEELS. nothing rigged. ask me how i know, and maybe i'll tell you. i dont need your papers to tell me.

redfox:

i know what vtec is and what vtech isnt. my so called ignorance is that of those who think b16's and all there glory is the ultimate honda motor. hence why i say b16's and vtech own with a :shooter: at the end of my comment. yes the b16 is a good motor, but no it isnt the only affordable option. all these kids comming into the scene hear all this talk of b16 this and vtech that, and think they know it all. b16 or die is their mentallity. i was just trying to emulate and mock what i have seen on numerous boards and posts.

you seemed to have missed all the information (be it small) in my last post about the b20 motor and it's track ability. where do you think i got that info from??? and no it wasnt last months edtion of SCC or whatever. think about for a bit and i'll wait till you come to your senses.

i'm not gonna analize all your posts towards me and come up with some smart ass rebutle to prove you wrong. we each have our personal knowledge and experience with certain motors and what not. one case might be different from the next, learn and move on.

didnt mean for that last thread to blow up and end in heat like it did. i was just trying to pull some chains/gather what information people knew and have a laugh at the same time. we all do it now and then, my bad if i got on anyones bad side:cool:

those of you who dont know cluster personally should'nt make attacks on him just by what you see on your screen. he's helped out quite a few people, but doesnt know much about nothing:wink: he can be bitter at times but thats just in his nature. (rent grumpy old men1&2 and youll see what i mean) :p

anyway , everything isnt always what it seems on the INTERNET.

thats my 0.25, take it in 15 sec's or less or i take it back:p

feel free to PM me, if need be.

gooo vtech! :shooter:

we dynoed a JDM B20B/GSR tranny powered civic couple weeks ago with dc 4-1 headers, intake, 2.5" exhaust and an AEM fuel pressure regulator and it put down 137.8hp and 126.9 lbs-ft of torque to the WHEELS .

Jugglez will scan that for me soon enough and I'll post it up.

:) I knew about the Vtech vs Vtec thing. I figured that's why the H is bold, but I was just playing too.

As a matter of fact, aside for one of the sources of B20 and and their figures on paper from Honda as well as B20VTEC possibilities, I do not know much else. I keep most of my research and experience in Turboing Hondas. Now that you point out your original intention, it all makes sense. :)

<letting out a long breath>, I was afraid of doing what I did in the last thread. Taking 30 minutes just to type a reply. :)

It's all cool. The beauty of internet is that you really can't get into another person's face that much. :) What did I gain from this experience? Note to self, don't get Cluster and Civic_hb96 to yank my chain again. :nods:

lol, live and learn. Believe me, it all makes sense now. I remember reading postins with your sig and also remember that you know your stuff. So I was really surprised when you started acting like a cocky 16 year old. (No pun intended). :D

Anywho, all is good. Next time, I'll play along.
