Engine conversion

I'm looking to buy a 96-99 Civic H/B and swapping the motor. Which motor do you guys recommend and whats the cheapest place to get it done?
This is what I want:
- reliability
- fast
- upgradable to turbo in the future
- retain 4-bolt pattern

I guess these are my 3 options: b16a, b18c1 and b18c5.

Also, can the rear be converted to disc?

Thx.

The rear can be converted to disk using the gsr or the sir disc's.
The cheapest engine for a little more speed and to build on top of would be the b18b (ls engine).
Correct me if i am wrong guys i am still in the young stages of knowing motors here.

Sounds good. What engine are you using? I've pretty much decided on a H22A in a 96+ Civic. Is there any specific civic I should be looking for? In terms of year and such. Right now just looking for a silver 96+ with A/C, stick.

I'v heard the same Stuff. I'v been reading this board for a while and some people Like KSR but I'm not sure why.

I have only heard bad stuff. Cutting corners, crappy motors and crappy work.

I've never heard bad stuff about KSR from anyone. He did a ZC on one crx for me and recently a B18C in another. Have had no problems with either engine.

not sure where you have heard that.
Interesting these two posts of negative feedback are from single digit posters that just signed up.
Can you post links to the threads where they talk negatively about KS-R? I would be interested in reading them.
Hey everyone is entitled to their opinions, I respect that.
I have personal experience with my swap and was very happy.
Maybe others that have actually had work done can also share their experience.

I don't think they would be an affiliate if that was the case.

How come you guys are brand new and posting 10 mins a part from each other, both claiming someone's work is garbage.

You mentioned you have seen it on this board .....I am still waiting for the links where you read that his work is suspect.?
