Engine Compression

I'm curious..

1. Where can you get engine compression increased?
2. How much would increasing engine compression cost? $$$???

to do this you either shave the head...get a thinner head gasket or jsut get higher compression pistons...basically your jsut making the combustion chamber smaller in lamen's terms so air is compressed more....total lamen's terms here guys I'm not a retard I swear...

Can you give me a rough estimate on the cost?

How much more HP and torque do you think increasing a 9.5:1 to 10.5:1 or 11:1 compression could do for you?

First question should be....how much you're willing to spend?

it will cost over $1000 because of all the labour involved. Obviously the more you do (adding parts to be installed e.g. pistons, headgasket, valves [valves add compression too]), the more it will cost.

I think if you're using a D-series motor you should talk to 4age on this board, cuz he's a total D-series nuthead, or at least was hahaha

Do you mean "Rage"?
I don't see any "4age" member on TCC.
