well, 1st figure out what the problem is... I've never heard of a 2000 burning oil. what's your mileage?

what's your compression wet and dry?

what do you mean a week or so later it struggles to pick up good? how is your oil level? how much oil are you burning? what makes you say you're burning oil? is it auto or stick? have you owned it since new?

go see Buddah for a compression test, or go visit concepts on wheels, they should be able to run the appropriate tests to determine where you're leaking oil from...

do a few synthetic flushes then stay on it if its mild burning, if its bad get it tested...otherwise generaly if you run your honda over 6 thousand rpm frequently, you can pretty much expect oil buring vtec or not.

go ahead and put in intake on it, but IMO you're wasting money on an intake when you need far more significant work done. PM Buddah for an appointment to have some tests done.

drop it a H22 baby! hahaha... that'll solve the problem!!!

well, u should get a professional to inspect your motor... do some compression tests.... see where the problem is... it can be gaskets, pistons, or your whole engine can be messed up soon!

i know what your saying though steve

the internet is filled with mis information

my best advice is, if you dont know 100% what your talking about, dont respond, the mis information just gets ****** that way, and you get alot of guesses or maybes, not solid advice

that goes for me 2

Lucas works very well. I use it for p.s. and transmissions also. You can get it a c.t.

i live by lucas.

tranny and oil treatments....... love that ****.....

as for your engine burning oil..that's odd...

my old engine from my hatch (95 cx) had 182,000k on it when we ripped it out, and it wasn't burning oil at all..

honda's do burn oil..but how bad is it?...

as for the boggyness...have you run fuel injector cleaner and a full tank of sonoco 94 thru your car in a while to clean the crap out?

on my old engine, i was getting boggyness at like 160,000...

emptied the tank, put in good fuel line/fuel injector cleaner in and then topped it up with sonoco 94...burned it off with a LONG boot down the highway..it made a difference!!!

edit: and with talking to members on this forum, b16acivic is a trust worthy guy who wont rip you off..... he'll give you the straight lowdown without raping your wallet.
