emmissions tricks(methyl hydrate)

i was wondering if anybody has ever heard of putting
methyl hydrate in your gas tank to help you pass e test. i
s it bad for the car??

the way i was told to do it

have less then 1/4 tank of gas
heat up car real good on the highway
add 1 liter methyl hydrate
go do e test
pass etest(my buddy said he passed with 95 grand am with no catalytic converter doing this)
fill tank to the **** to dilute the rest of the stuff left in the gas tank

Methal Hydrate is a type of alchohol. It effectively raises the octane levels, so the fuel will burn more completely. However, too much can cause damage to your catalytic converter and 02 sensor.

You should meter what you put in too. 1L per quarter tank doesn't really cut it because your ratios will be way off. How much liters of fuel is a 1/4 tank in a Civic? You'd expect that a Grand Am has a larger fuel tank.

I've heard of people using denaturalized alchohol to help them pass their emmissions test, but why not maintain the car properly instead?
Your car will run better, consume less fuel, make more power. Plus, you'll never have to worry about failing emmissions if everything is in check.

PASSED

it worked. i passed by alot. even the guy doing the test said to put methanol in the gas. oh and the ratios don't really matter that much it is just a ball park i mean i did mine with the gas tank on almost empty. THe difference between gas tanks is not that much on most cars anyways. 40-60 liters. today i talked to somebody they said they put in a 4 liter jug into a 1/4 tank so it doesn't matter how much you use. WOOHOO

oh yeah that don't do nothing for etest.
clean air going in doesn't mean it will be cleaner coming out.

Most people don't know how to cheat emmissions either...

That should be done anyways during routine maintenance...

Since some people slack, that's a good time to do those things...

My 2 cents...
