ek swap.>??

I currently have a 97 civic hatch and the motor and tranny is dying...so I have to decide what engine I want to swap in. I want something that has a great torque , and will a B20 be easy to put in.>?? and about how much will it cost..?? I don't want the mechanic to try to rip me off. Can anyone give me some info..?? Or am I better off with getting a vtec engine..??

Thx for the much help needed....

Go to a reputable place like Concepts on Wheels or Altech and you won't get ripped off and you don't have to worry about anything else either. B20 would be the perfect swap for you... torque and OBD2 compatibility plus fully bolt in swap!!!!

V-tech Engines are fun... if you don't mind having high revs doing 100km on the highway then b16A is fun, that's what I have. Lacks the torque, but the engine has nice pep, and I am fairly satisfied with it. I would be really happy if it came in a 6spd.

a b20 with a b16 or gsr tranny would make a real fun street car. Get a gsr tranny if you drive on the highway a lot. You shouldn't pay more than $600-1000 for the labour. Once you have the proper b-series mounts it will be a direct swap.
