EK SEDAN suspension help

ok i got a 1999 civic SEDAN ex

i got 99-00 sir suspension for it front and rears

i go to put the suspension in the front

the front forks are too big -- as in too wide for the control arm

i thought sir suspension is plug in play for 99 civics ???

I don't have any oem suspension for the car

if i got oem 99 civic forks

would this fix the problem ?

also are the rears shocks springs plug in play ?

is the car gonna sit right with sir suspension ?

any help would be appreciated

also any one got oem forks forsale ?

why not try using the shock/spring on the OEM fork that came with that car and see if it fits because it should. I'm surprised the fork is different because it should be the exact same.

As for the height of the car, i would imagine it would sit slightly higher because it was likely designed to accomodate the b16 (not sure though)

The coilovers are plug and play, but the front forks aren't becuase SiR front LCA is different from other 6th gen Civics. Yes, if you have non SiR front LCA, you need the smaller forks.

I have mine, if you want them, let me know. Mine are from 00 Hatch - along with the bolts as well.

As far as how the car sits, from what I read, the car might sit "higher" because D16 engine is lighter than B16. But the difference might be minimal.

But either way, I don't believe it will post too much of an issue.

is there a reason why my front is higher than the back? is it because my 'special d series' is lighter than a b series?

what is your setup. did you tighten the bolts with the car on the ground or up in the air. is the spring seated correctly?

I had a problem with this when i bought suspension of your friend a few months ago...

if you keep your original LCA's then use your original forks

if you swap to the sir LCA's then you need to swap to sir forks,
once you do sir forks, you will also need longer bolts (Brafasco)
