Eibach vs H&R

Any thoughts on which one to go with for a 1990 Civic ....standard sport springs not race is what I am looking at
Thanks
Dave

how low you want to go? care about your comfort?

i heard Eibach, both the Pro-Kit and Sportsline are quite comfy. i had the Sportsline on a 92 GS-R and from what i remember it's not that bouncy with stock shocks.

i am using H&R sports on my 98 civic and it's quite firm, though my shocks are not OEM.

I was in the same position as you were, choosing between Eibach's or H&R's.

Both springs are good, but I decided to go with the Eibach Pro Kit. It's a smooth ride, and the drop is just the way I like it!

I'm not the kind that likes to slam my car to the ground so that's why I chose the Pro Kit, not too much of a drop, just the right height.

I went with H&R's for my 98 Accord coupe, but I had heard the Eibach's may be a better app for my 90 civic....I am not looking to slam it, only to give it a nice aggressive look while improving the handling.
Thanks for the info

How hard is it to choose the spring drop you want? I heard that springs can still settle after the install dropping it upto another 1/4".

Hey, what's the cheapest I can get Eibach Pro-Kits from and where? Do you guys know the quality of Tein S Tech springs?

Thanks.

Dreggs:

Yes, your car will settle actually lower than the advertised drop of the spring itself...

For instance..

A Neuspeed 1.8" drop will settle at about 2.0-2.25 ish after a few weeks/months.

Shocks can lower it even more.. For instance I've heard rumors that the Koni Yellows I'm getting are like 1/2" lower than the stock shocks.

Regards,
OK

Some Koni's I believe have an adjustable perch that can lower it another .25, but really the cost of the shocks outwieghs the drop. If one is looking for a drop, then buy the springs that drop it the height you want, but if handling is the need, go and spend the cash and buy the Koni's with the springs. My friend has them and the ride is notch.
