ef Z6 swap help

car revs at 4000 till it warms up, idols at 1500 and is getting about 300-400 km a tank. any ideas would help.

note: engine is fully rebuilt with brand new everything, and everything is newly machined professionally.

Adjust the throttle cable...it's probably too tight.

hey buddy.... I'd disconnect the throttle cable for now. it eliminates at least that one possiblility, cuz I've seen a similar problem before and it would settle into a lower rpm also - and it WAS the cable.

secondly, I'd unplug the IACV. this should just have you running at base idle. this is how I'm running my car currently - no IACV. idle is perfect. if this fixes the problem, then it's time for a new throttle body or re-checking the wiring and the ECU.

also, ensure there are no vacuum leaks of course (unlikely, but who knows??) and of course all the regular things like ignition base timing.

maybe your tps is off adding fuel and you have a massive vacuum leak adding more air...

either way check for leaks around mani etc..pull codes is key
