EF suspension

can you substitute any other civic/teg suspension into a 88 civic?
reason is i am looking at full coilovers theat are offered for the ef.
im looking at theseOmni Power coilovers

92-95 civic will work u just gotta use 92-95 civic fron forks

imported_zc_hatch 02-Sep-2004 05:28 PM

will the rear work with ef fork mounts?

Brett 02-Sep-2004 06:44 PM

If you have an 88 does that mean your rear lca's are hollow and not cast? If so you would need to change them. In the back of my ef i have part civic part 90 integra and part type R integra!

the rear lca's are hollow. but my parts car has the cast ones if i need them.

i read on honda-tech that omnipower has ef apps sometime soon, but im going to go to the junkyard ant try putting eg suspension on ef
and see if it truely works

i have heard the eg front forks working, but I think that will cause a plethera of alignment problems!

imported_zc_hatch 02-Sep-2004 09:03 PM

are we talking about the little arms that hold the bottom of the shock to the front lca?
if it is, it shouldnt cause any alignment problems, as it only holds the shock, if it isn't then enlighten me

thanks
Matt

Those little arms are called the damper forks. On a eg they are for 1 5/8" shocks while the ones on a ef are for 1 1/2" shocks.
