EF randomly will have a problem starting

well i was informed yesterday that every so often..rarely but around one or twice a month my ef will just have a hard time catching. If let to sit for about a minute..it will start up no problem..but this is an issue id like to figure out..

anyone come across this before?

btw the motor is a B16A1 that requires a tune up for plugs and wires (gonna take care of that this evening) and a valve adjustment..

thnaks all.

fuel pump filter issue? if you let it sit for a while first with the key in pre-ignition it fixes the problem?

Take out the main relay and resolder the joints, I've had to do it on both honda's I own and I also had to do it on my buddies civic, we've never had problems since.

i second the main relay. located on the driver side, to the left and up from the fuse panel. it's kinda hard to get to. open the relay up and resolder dry joints.

well here's a story of how we figured out the problem ourselves.. to give some backround info the car has had a brake issue for the past week. turned out to be the master cylinder and it was replaced. So i was going to do a tune up on it since it badly needs one and the weather was decent for a bit of time outside on saturday..i roll it out and drive it around my complex to wait for my pops to get his work van out.. making my last turn onto my section of the street i go to brake for the turn..well hot damn pedal just went to the floor..nothing.. i make the turn going thirty in second gear..and thank god for snow tires!! i then downshift into first as i turn to my driveway..since im learning stick on this car my E brake sucka! instincts did not kick in and i slammed into the brick portion of my garage door. from the surprise of that i forget im still in 1st gear and release the clutch.. lurch forward time!!! slammed into the wall again... bloody hell this is not my day im thinkin to myself.. we roll the honda in as it has completely stopped turning over. pop the hood and start feeling out the starter relay.. starts like new.. so after all that! the starter relay.. geez cars are never good to me i swear lol.
