Ef coilovers
 
I just put coilovers on my ef
the front looks dumped perfect!
the rear seems high still its lower but still not slammed?
pic up soon
what do you think the problem is
??

you have to adjust the coilovers...hence them being coilovers...

not settled yet.

not adjusted to the same height.

the rear ef shocks have a spring retainer where the spring sits into you have to cut that piece off in order to lower the collar all the way down hope that helps you

Well guys the coilovers are MAXED out as low as they go!
fronts are perfect its the rear thats freakin me out here
what is this spring retainer i cut off to let the sleve go all the way down?

where the oem spring sits, it looks like a cup. in order to lower the coilovers all the way u need to cut that cup off.

cut the hole cup off
then wont the sleeve go down to the lower controll arm

you just cut the vertical part of the cup

i need to do this but i cant take my shock off..any suggestions? or am i fubard

Finally i got it!
got an extra inch of lowness!!
thanks for all your input guys



and yes i recomend cuting it off ur car!
take out ur lower arm and strut together
and cut about 3/4 off the cup leaving enough of the cup
there so ur sleve fits down into it still
p.s never can use stock springs again after you cut this!

what did you use to cut it with? hacksaw?
