EF brake ZC problem

Hey guys i have a SOHC ZC EF and i dont know if the brakes are suppose to be pressed low but i dont know how to fix it.. i got new pads last summer and that wasnt fixing the problem.
the problem is when i press on the brakes.. i have to presss it REALLY LOW before it starts to act up... it cant be the pads cuz i got new pads.. the rotors look okay.. can it be my brake fluid lines?.. what should i do. i went to mechanics.. they told me EF's brakes are like that.. but i know its not that bad..

another question is i got a Stock dx ecu in with the SOHC ZC.. is it easy to swap in another ECU... for example a SI?

THANKS
Peace

go to a different shop, brakes are not for amateurs to play with

and.... for the second question??????

if you are running a EF DX ECU, that means you have 2 injectors, in which case no, it's not "easy" to swap to another ECU... but a SOHC ZC should have MPFI, so get your facts straight... what ARE you running??

I've seen dpfi sohc zc setups...usually done by cheap lazy shops/people that dont wanna take the time to switch to the mpfi and if u are a dpfi setup then u are gonna have to swap over to a mpfi setup to use the si ecu...and after that you will be reaping the benefits of the sohc zc motor
