you could use your harness. You will have to use your obd1 distributor, injectors and thermostat housing with fan switch in it (b/c obd 0 engines have them in the back of the block) and you'll be fine. You can use the stock ecu with this as well.
If you're car has power steering though, you will prolly need to steal the crank pulley from the old engine that will have the pulley for power steering on it. If you're car doesn't have p/s then you won't. Why would you consider it a waste of time? How do you know this guys engine didn't blow up and he got this one for free? |
well....the reason im putting this engine in my car, is that mine right now has about 300k on it and is starting to hit the dust a little bit....this A6 engine i have was rebuilt and has about 25k on it. it was also bored, stroked, 3 angle valve job and upgraded valves, and ZC pistons....so its not really a waste of time for someone who cant afford a B right now:thumbup:

stroked? What stroker kit was used?

not to sure really....but this thing was built for the track...and it did well apparently....a good friend of mine built it and i guess its full of primo stuff
