ecu help....

Hi there,
Ok, so i've gone and picked up a 'unknown' civic! lol. And it's fast as hell but runs like crap! lol

So i was thinking the ecu...it has a b18a with cams, valves and valve springs, intake and head polishing, pulley, and full exhaust. So i would imagine it's chipped and tuned for high end...yet it redlines (and stops) at 7000rpm...and it idles at any idle speed, REALLY rough...the whole car vibrates...(it was hasport engine mounts...would that worsen the vibration?)

Anyways, i'm thinking it might be the ECU, it was supposed to have an Hondata ECU...but i can't imagine it does anymore....

What woudl be a good ECU to use? I have a p28 in another car - should i swap that out and try it?

I really like this car, but i need to use it with clients on occasion and it feels like a freakin race car...with TONS of rattles. lol.

Thanks

sounds more like the motor mounts if the whole car is vibirating.
Ive read hasports are know for being stiffer which makes you feel the engine movement a little more but I haven't experienced them first hand.
but that and your exhaust would definitly kill the clients!

well and engine with that much work NEEDS a custom tune.

Theres a REAL easy way to tell if its got hondata, look at the ecu, if its got a little blue box attached then its got hondata. If not, open it up and check to see if its only got the s100 hondata (there won't be a blue box with the s100). The s100 hondata is just a chip.
Either way, if it runs like crap, get it tuned.

ok, so what's the easist way to get it tuned? I know a few of your guys can burn your own chips...but that's not getting it tuned is it? Anyone with a wide band o2? anyone anyone?
