(!) Ebrake Light Coming On

My friend just got a 98 civic si and when the rpm gets to about 3000k the ebrake light turns on, kinda like a shift light.
i have the same car and i have never encounted anything like this.
someone please shed light on this issue

not to sure, just took it around the street once and it kept happening.
this car is wierd, its a 98 with a 1 peice grill and a 99-00 dented and scratched passenger fender.

the indicator wire probably rubbed through to another wire.

it might be low brake fluid level i had the same problem, put a little brake fluid in and it went owey

It's actually low brake fluid. I had the same problem on my vehicle. Trust me it's low brake fluid.
