EBAY turbo kits? (i kno this has been covered before)
whats everyones thoughts about this the search function doesnt work but i do remember seeing this!. I hear the cast manifolds crack due to weight? anyone running one of these have any input thanks

No shame here...i am running an ebay manifold , the cast iron log manifolds last forever its the stainless steel ram horn and some other styles that have the cheap ****ty welds that break

You get what you pay for... thats all I can say. I know a guy who had has wastegate fall on the highway because it cracked off.

haha thats pretty funny is that because someone welded it on the piping for him or are they preassembled and flange welded already

the manifolds are the big issue.
some people say the turbos need oil restrictors at the end of the oil feed line as they cant handle the higher PSI the engines spit out thru feed lines. but, some people say they didnt need one.... just dont boost too hard at first. give it some good break in KM's, and have someone who knows turbo's install it..... as with anything, it's only as good as the install and the knowledge behind it. |

The wastegate is "probally" a tial 38mm style and its bolted to the mani with 2 screws, the part that breaks is the wastegate runner. Dont know if that clears it up any, not sure what your asking ive never seen restrictors at the sandwich plate adaptor or t'd off from the oil pressure sensor...ive heard of oil starvation that route any restrictor ive seen goes rite to the turbo..what do you mean jetting all its doing is lowering the psi the oils flowing into the turbo.. |
So should the restrictors be used or not i kno of many people who dont use them and they boost 12psi daily more info about why and which turbos thanks

ball bearing turbos usually require restrictors...in any turbo you should use a restrictor if your fittings are -4an or -3an the oil pressure hondas produce is alot more than the turbo needs

turbo companies are fawked, just called turbonetics and they say they dont need one which i think is bull.
I guess install without one, if it smokes after then put one on? |
