Question E- Tests and JDM Motors

Any of you guys running swapped JDM motors have any problems with emission testing? I've heard that JDM motors will not necessarily pass e-testing.

Any info would be appreciated.

When I sold my car to 2_rice_4_u I etest the 2nd Gen JDM B16 and the thing bairly even registered on the sniffer. The emmissions were amasing.

Also, prior to that I had a JDM ZC and it ran like hell...and still passed.

Keep in mind though, I was testing under a "Hot Rod" setting so that stasndards were a bit looser, but neither motor really needed it.

regardless of what motor, where it came from... if it's properly tuned, there is no reason why it should fail emissions.

Ya, but I had just bought the car, I had it for a week... then I changed about a grand worth of parts on it. It was obviously NOT properly tuned when I first got it. Now it is

Now, I'd be confident to park it in your room and leave it running... whether you wake up in the morning is another concern.

If you need any help passing your e-test...

don't come to me
