E-Test HELP NOW!
Alright.. Car has gone in and failed 3 E-Tests. I have no idea what is going on. It passes with flying colors at 40 k/m but it always fails at Idle. I have done everything I can think of.. EGR, o2, new oil, injector cleaner, 94 gas. Ripped it down the hiughway a few times to get er nice and hot. I am out of ideas. What could be cause my car to idle so bad.. It scores somthing like 400/200 on the one and 4.1/1 on the other. Please help!

Ok..
Curb Idle
HC ppm: Limit 200, Reading 401
CO%: Limit 1, Reading 5.23
Now I changed a bad EGR valve. O2 sensor, changed the oil, put 94 in it, checked every connection and vaccume line, cleaned the IACv. I've done everything I can think of. The car does not burn oil, theirs no leaks. The last thing I can think of it put a new Cat on their and their's no guarente it will pass with a new cat.

first if its the EF. check the ecu and see if its throwing any codes.
if it is fix those problems first, if not then try the following.
- replace spark plugs
- clean contacts on the cap and rotor (distributor)
- DO NOT use higher octane fuel use the regular (recommended)
ok
HC = hydrocarbons
hydrocarbons = unburned fuel.
try these things and it should pass. the problem here looks like your having trouble burning all fuel delivered to the motor (not a strong enough spark) try those things and see what happens most likely it'll pass.
usually only change the plugs and wires if needed, clean connections in the dizzy (cap and rotor) and a fresh oil change.
