dyno question

maybe it sounds like a noob question
searched. but no result
heres the question

will weight of a car affect the numbers that put down on a dyno?
so...

let say an EG with B18C put down 200wph
will that going to be the same number if the engine is in an EK?

imported_mugen_r 21-Jun-2007 06:09 PM

weight has nothing to do on dyno results.

weight of the wheels will though, albeight a small impact.

^ yup..

rotational mass plays a huge part.

rims size as well, its better to put a stock rim on that came with your car to get the most accurate number.

also, the tire diameter/width will affect numbers too

thats one of the reason I have 15 konigs 11lbs with toyos 195

but he was just talking about the main difference of the body...EG and EK.

Wheels that I know will have an impact.

But thanks for clearing that up:thumbup:
