I would have to say that the FM901s would kill the Ecsta 712s....
I'm actually going to get a set of FM901s....
The FM901s are extremely popular overseas in Japan....
I believe the FM901s have a softer rubber compound giving it better grip than the 712s....that's just my $0.02

Are the Dunlop SP Sport FM901 the ones with the rim guard?

Just do a comparison test on www.tirerack.com According to them, the Kumho's out perform the FM901's in dry traction, handling, and comfort. Also the Kumho's last longer too.

I have the fm901's and yes they do have the rim gaurd...thing is when you go over 60km their is a considerable amount of noise...the trade off is that they are sticky....

Cool!

FYI the Rim Guard fits in with the whole JDM look.

All tires in Japan have Rim Guards

It's easy to hide behind your computer screen and call people names eh.. I'm no ********..and if you knew me you'd come to respect that..but when people come around and post stupid comments..you've got to put them in their place!

As for the questions about the FM901's. I've only heard good things about them. Alot of guys here in Montreal use them in SOLO 1 & 2 events without any problems, although I haven't heard any complaints about noise levels from the tires themselves.

Dude,

I was out of line with that '********' comment

You think I made a stupid comment.
I think you made a stupid comment.
So what do we have?

You and I haven't had the opportunity to get to know each other, and if you weren't in montreal and I wasn't in toronto, I'd take you out and buy ya drink right now.

I personally like the JDM look and know that number of people like it as well. The Civic club has members will all sorts of different rides and different setups and tastes.

I think there are better things to do that knock people for what they like.

So from one Civic brother to another, Lets shake hands and be friends now.

I like the JDM look also (http://kevin.iknowgeeks.com/temp/4door/), and I'm a fan of clean cars.

NICE!!!

Very Clean

Here's my puppy...

In the background, is CiViC [-_-] BoY making a cameo.
(working on the rims ) Waiting for the right deal on Rotas

Since these pics the car has seen a repaint (same colour with black bumper inserts) and a seat swap.

you may not have heard much about road noise because they probably are deaf alred from it seriously though...they are kinda loud...and on the highway it's like a high pitched hummmm

I guess you have to try em out for yourself or get more reviews...I got them cause I was told they were better then the model they were replacing...had good reviews...then after I got them they kinda sucked and it was beginning to get poorer reviews and the exact same complaints.
