DropZone Gas Shocks/Struts?
#4
Alot of people dont like them. They do come with a guarantee but, that would be a pain in the ***.
I was gonna get those but I settle for a better used set. They seem kind of sketchy.
If you look around, some people say a few good things about it.

dun get ebay shyt....
u got our good affiliates here
if u want real performance, u have to pay the price... otherwise, stick with oem... ride on stock height
you don't want your car lowered and the next day u're driving, shocks blown, and car fell to the ground or something....
(maybe i'm too harsh), some people do run dropzones and do not have huge problem.... but cheap stuff are usually not quality stuff.... find some used agx shocks and buy a set of h&r springs... they are pretty good combos i think.... or find a set of used (mint) tein full coilovers... or buy the omnipower full-coilvers from our affiliates 800 or 900, can't remember... they will get you real happy!!!

Personally I'd rather have high quality used parts then brand new crap. The Koni shocks I had on my 98 I bought used. They were great and the person I sold them to is very happy with them still. They are 3 years old now and still going strong.
You could even buy a newer set of used low k OEM shocks from a late model Teg or Civic until you buy a good set of aftermarket ones. I had a set of SIR shocks on my 98 for a year before the Konis.

go KYB AGX, atleast they are proven and have fans. Dropzone, I wouldn't put that on a shopping cart for dampening.
Oh, and GR2 are not meant for lowering, they are an OEM replacement shock...so you'll blow it if you lower much on them. Go with KYB AGX, search online for reviews from honda-tech and other places, people like these cheap shocks. but its the cheapest shock i'd ever install on my car cause it still is quality
If your so broke you can't afford a decent shock, why are you trying to buy them now? save the money and do it right, KYB AGX and H&R Sports are a good set-up, but this is not a $250 set-up, its closer to $700-$750
Things not to **** with using cheap parts:
-Brakes (you may need these)
-Tires (susp and brakes won't do **** if you cheap out on tires, think about it, very little contact patch you want good tires)
-Suspension (i don't know about you, but I like predictable comfortable safe handling that I know is there for me when I need it)
Thing you can **** with if your so inclined with cheap parts:
Engine (Mechanic will love if you do)
Body (lips, etc)

Another thing about dropzones: i've heard of someone who had those, and one of the shocks were leaking and even though it was guaranteed it was the biggest pain in the *** ever.
