dropped a bolt under hood
 

what is the worse that can happen if i dropped a bolt under the hood somewhere that is nowhere to be found? i was bolting on a distributor cap and it dropped somewhere down the left side of the engine. nowhere to be found. i was hoping that driving around would cause it to fall out :) would it damage any parts in the area?

probably not. i can't stand doing that myself. i always keep a good trouble light and a magnetic wand handy for such situations.

its probably sitting on the tranny somwhere. if not its probably on your driveway you just didnt see it.
