drop in km from opened airbox

what the **** i have open a big hole to my air box for better breathing plus i go for a nice ram air in this hole but i see that from 230 + now my b16a1 crx go to 220 and with dificulty goes higher .................so once again i thing its time to change to short ram ........is this effect go witl all filters exept stock ?

damn I got scared at 190 in my stock civic... ok do you have pics of the mod you made so that I can better visualize this and help figure out your issue.

sorry guys but i live in greece and not in canada so you can forgive me for engrish.......i just make a big hole in front of stock airbox (is like drop out the half of airbox) and i raise avance from 15,5 to 16 (i have chip that raise avance)and from 240 now 220 km...snif snif i thing to close that hole .......is it better go to short ram ? or hand made cai ? or keep my stock airbox with my kn ?

i think that its better to make a CAI.....but get a K and N filter...
get a good filter and you should be fine....stock is garbage and short ram is garbage..CAI is good....KAPISH

I think the ECU is probably the main thing. Probably makes you run too rich.

thanks boys ..so i must use fuel regulator to lean the mix ? or rich mix is ok ? its ok with speed i do not want go 240 all the time so if rich mix in high is ok i will let it as it is ......

I think you should keep the OEM air box and add the additional CAI to it, but make sure you have everything seal up so the vacumm is there and don't make it tooo big...

I did experienced a lost in the high ends with big intake pipes etc...

The whole engine works on pressure, just play with the pipes sizes and setup to get it right.

Ever heard of the A2(I think) from AEM? Do something like that, good intake.
