You have to have atleast a basemap that will allow you to run those 450's.

Or you can put your stock injectors in untill it gets tuned. Just don't let your stock ecm see boost.

yea i'm gonna get zeeman to make the basemap for me..so just as long as i take my time and dont let it see boost i'm good?
wouldnt that be kinda hard on these small turbo's?

Oh yeah, it'll be really hard. But if you have a basemap it's okay.

I was referring to if you don't have a basemap made and you have to run the stock ecu+injectors.

You can enter boost ( try not to) but it'll be save if you see like 1-2 psi. Just don't give it more than 25% throttle and you shouldn't be under boost.

And BTW since you have a d16y8 I hope you are running a thick oil like 10w40, and invested in an oil pressure gauge

Meh, I wouldn't worry about it THAT much, I could only imagine what a shop would charge for that. If the y8 blows just swap in a z6.

Just use 10w40 oil and get a pressure gauge.

Meh..

depends if we're talking daily use or like track days.

Personally I wouldn't go over 200whp daily use (you'd get no traction anyways with 160-175wtq or w/e you got).. for tracks days i'd turn it up to 230whp+, but that's near maxing your turbo out most likely.

like chris said, as long as your ecu is chipped and has a basemap with boost enabled (and possibly scaled for your larger injectors) you will be safe. If you just wanted to leave the stock injectors in for the time being, then install them at the time you tune that is also an option.

Just so you know, i PM'd you about the ecu and harness, but if you want me to tune it to, i do a package deal (save a lot of $$$) of you want a ecu/harness/tune.
Check PM.
