Driveshaft help

I was wondering, how many units are there between the differential and the wheel (in a gsr)??

I know there's the constant velocity driveshaft that goes into the wheel and has 2 joints/knuckles (on the driver side, is approx 2 feet long), but there must be another piece in between that and the differential... am I right??

there's an intermediate shaft attached to the back of the motor that the drivers side shaft connects to, that connects with the transmission

really, the intermediate shaft attaches to the back of the motor?? I could have sworn there's a small shaft that comes out of the differential on the transmission and goes into the cv driveshaft...
