dohc zc is runnign too rich

engine is runnign rich. new O2 sensor was installed a few months ago and doesn't seem to have made a difference.

How do you know its running rich?

just checked the plugs i put in only 3 months ago and they have a ton of carbon buildup

carbon doesnt mean rich.

either way.. if you are sure you're running rich.. check for vacuum leaks. If that checks out could be a leaky injection (if its hard to cold-start, thats a good sign of one) could be a bad fpr, could be maladjusted ignition timing, weak spark, etc, etc,etc.

ive always used carbon deopsits as a sign of too much fuel being delivered to the cylinder, so tell me what a better indicating of a rich mixture is.

that is carbon, gasoline engines do not produce soot
