I think civic eg/ek and 94-2001 integra strutbars are interchangeable... I think, I'm sure somebody more knowledgable will post on here and answer your question for sure.

not with the stock intake

please observe:

the box would not allow the strut bar to mount

the solution is the Y8 intake mani. I had the strut bar for 4 years before I mounted it....

Can someone please tell me why the D16Y7 is the only engine with that intake manifold? Every other Honda engine I see has the typical horizontal ones...

I've tried the strut bar thing and it doesn't fit. Swap mani's or get an intake to make the bar fit.

It sucks because you can't fit a strut tower bar on the car without modification.

I can... I think

the Y7 (and many other base Honda engines) come with updraft throttle bodies (for cost cutting or possibly for better fuel economy, I'm not sure) and the updraft t-body leaves no room for an intake plenum. these airboxes on top of the throttle body actually act as air plenums (as part of the intake manifold) and help regain some HP while being real cheap to make. so that should explain why you give up a lil power then you go with an intake tube instead of the OEM design.

Not sure what the SIR one looks like, but you see mine has some height to it and my intake just clears. My other intake use to scrape the strut bar.

tego, look into getting a neuspeed strut bar. their design looks like it can clear your intake tube and the bar is designed to fit over top the fuel injectors further away from the throttle body than other strut bars.

You can make a strut bar fit with an aftermarket intake. You may have to play around a bit with the mounting of the intake in order to have it clear the bar. I would suggest cutting the bottom of it shorter, so that it sits lower on the throttle body.

Double_B: I didn't see your pics; work won't let me.

THis is one of Brian's photos: EDIT - I couldn't make the pic work any other way besides using a window.... hope you don't mind Brian

I would not get anything other than OEM or Neuspeed. Other bars are crappy by comparison.... or if they are nice, they are really expensive and not worth the money (read: JDM). Just remember if you do go SIR you'll have to drill holes and make a custom backing plate. I'll take pics of my setup later on when I have a chance, I have aluminium backing plates that are threaded, then double locked with nuts (12.9 grade hardware). I gotta say, I hated drilling my car, but I think it was worth it.

Si98 I don't have those lights anymore, sorry. it's an old pic. they didn't fit anymore:
