Question Does Broken Mount=Torn CV Boot?

Would excess rocking motion of the engine (caused by a broken lower engine mount) ulimately result in a torn CV boot on the same side. 'Cause I have both of those and was wondering if that was possible. 2000 SiR 175,000 Km

Yeah it totally can... the engine is located by the mounts to keep the axles in alignment, if the alignment is thrown off, there is more stress on the axles.

I realize that around this amount of Km stuff goes, but I thought it was pretty coincidental.

the two are not related. get a remanufactured or used cv shaft in case its been a long time and, if there is no grease in the boot left. With core exchange they go around $100

The hole is the size of a pin hole and there is no grease on the outside, it's slightly damp looking where the hole is, so I think I caught it in time.
Any one have any props for urethane engine mounts or stick with stock. Looking for reasons, not just 'they're good'
thanks for all the advice
