does the 3" ITR CAI fit EK d16 sohc vtec?
tried searching... nothing
3" vs 2 1.4"... I guess i would have to cut the pipe a bit and custom fit at the throttle body any experience getting a 3" cai pipe in an EK? will it fit, yes or no.. thanks |
just get one made for a sohc vtec... too big IMO. i think it would really bog it down at lower rpms. i'm not sure, but logically it would make sense.

different diametre

Get a reducer pipe made, exhaust shops can do that easily.

You can get a rubber reducer i belive from jrp. Like the ones they use in the intercooler kits connectors. Those blue silicone couplings.
|
Exhaust gas gets much hotter than the actual engine bay temperature, I doubt that is gonna work.

I just used those stainless steel adjustable clamps. The diference in diameter isnt that much so the clamps work fine. It was kinda ghette but it worked.

Sorry to interrupt but i have a cai for a D series. Do i just drill a hole to make fit that sensor that comes stock with the oem intake? I just got one hole for the rubber hose but i need to make another one. Is that possible? Its a obd2 motor

Originally posted by Nova_Dust My mistake. I misread CAI for CAT, thought he was taking about cat. all these time. |
