I only upgraded the rear sway for what I wanted (less understeer). Its a 1" solid bar from Suspension Technologies Its really fun.

IMO, best change (after tires) for my driving style.

Even better than your Teins?

From what I hear, sway bar upgrades, whether larger or smaller, make a huge difference. I, personally, have never added a rear sway bar to my car, but it came stock with a front one.

Also, I always felt that my car had too much body roll, but once I put those racing seats that I won (Props to Teknotik) I realized the body roll was really just butt roll due to the soft sidewalls of my **** cheeks and all I needed was more support in that area.

I added both to my car and noticed a difference both time, strut bars do not suck for my generation of civic.

I have yet to put any sway bar on my civic... time is my enemy!!! I had upgraded sway bars on my old car and it made a huge difference.

On my civic I have a neuspeed front frame brace, and an un-named rear upper tie bar. I have so many parts kicking around, just dying to go on!

Is it the neuspeed strut tower brace or lower front tie bar?

Other than lowering the stance, there was minimal benefit with them.

Ya a sway bar will make a huge difference than any strut bar. You could buy all the many strut bars you want, but a sway bar will outperform all those I hear.

Arghh I need a sway bar in my swaybar-less EG

For EG owners without and added a sway bar, your comments on results? PLZ AND THKS

my car is a cx and never came with a front bar or a rear bar. i had to get SI front LCAs and swapped the inner side so i can bolt a sway bar on. for the rear i just picked up a set of integra lcas and 14mm sway bar and slapped it on. i put on the rear bar first and the car felt so much better going around corners. my car would push less and when i went down to the track with just a rear bar. the track was wet that day and i had my rear end come out from me a few times around some turns. it looked like i drifted the corner as if my car was rwd lol. as much as i liked just having the rear bar on, i bought the front bar si (21mm) bar first but i had issues with the sway bar so it took a while for my to get the right one and to put it on. i must say with a 21mm front bar and a 14mm rear bar the car felt much better. i brought the car down to the track again this time with 2 bars and the front felt much firmer. i could really whip the car into quick corners without having as much roll as i would used to have without the front bar. i might upgrade to a type R 22mm bar in the future though. i sat in my friends EK hatch with only a 22mm rear bar on and that car looked fun to drive but it could be that it was the first time i sat in a car with RA1s.

Yes I do agree that a sway bar makes alot more difference then a strut tower brace but remember they are two completely different thing meant to correct two different problems, a sway bar is meant to reduce body roll around corners and a strut tower brace is desgined to reduce body flex under hard cornering situations.

I also have a crx and i have recently put a tein suspension on it. Now i do not have any bars on it and im still questioning myself on getting them. With the new suspension, i have a lot of control of my car on turns however the crx has a very light back end(2 people can lift it with ease) so i went ripping around a corner my my back end wipe out but still had control of my "drift". So will strut bars give me more control then i already have??? i really dont know.

IMO (from my experiences) strut tower bars don't really help much on their own, but as a component of a nicely tuned suspension they can really help out.
I first bought a front upper strut tower bar and i didn't really notice too much of a difference (on a 95 ex coupe). Then i lowered my car with tokico springs and illumina's, then i bought the suspension techniques front and rear sway bars. They (IMO) made the most substantial difference in handling of the bunch. My car never came with a rear sway bar so the addition of a beefy rear bar really improved the handling characteristics. And the front bar is much larger than the stock front EX/SI sway bar.
Also, like Michelle said tires make all the difference in the world.

strut tower bars bolt to the top of the shocks where the shocks go through the fenderwells. Take the 2 14mm nuts that hold the shock in place put the strut tower on and then put the bolts back on.
Sway bars are a different story. You will need 92-95 SI/EX front lower control arms b/c they have the hole for the endlink. And it depends on which sway bars you get if you need GSR rear LCA's or not.
The suspension techniques kit i have came with a little L shaped bracket to attach to the bolt that holds the shock to the LCA that the endlink attaches to.
Two thumbs up for the ST sway bar kit for an EG. By far the best bang for the buck mod on my car.

I have a 93 Civic DX HB, do I need anything else before installing a front and rear sway bar in the future? Or just plug and play?

I've been looking at the ST sway bar, they are much better priced than Eibach. But I dunno which is better, I suppose they do the same thing.

ST kit is good for civics because you won't need new lcas with holes in the rear as they bolt onto where the shock connects to the lca. the whole kit is pretty expensive though for front and back. imo i wouldn't go too thick of a bar in the front.
