I have a 92 civic cx with a 1.5 bottom end. The head is a JDM 1.5 SOHC VTEC (Not VTEC-E). I'm getting a trouble code 8 which is top dead centre sensor. I did the timing on it a few months ago and it's fine.
Since the TDC sensor is found in the distributor (and is hard to find a new sensor) I'm just going to replace the entire distributor. Does anyone know what distributors are interchangeable with my motor? will 1.5 non VTEC dizzy's work? or even 1.6 VTEC?


The car also bogs between 2000 - 4500 RPM when cruising, I'm hoping its due to this sensor/distributor.

grab a dizzy from either a d15b7 or a d16z6

If you can provide me with your old distributor, I can rebuild it or replace it if I have any in stock. I beleive I may have 1 distributor from a d16z6
