^^ok so i checked and most people are saying they are garbage. at the same time most people are talking about garbage when they slammed it or did 2&half+ drop. some peeps said it's alright.
I only want to drop it about 1&half-2 inches and that's it. It would be on stock shocks. My car is 95 dx coupe. can i get feed back on my situation please. I was offered for $100 even. Any and all thoughts pls. |
the ride wouldn't be good at all. but with that drop it shouldn't be THAT bad.
|
You can get them brand new for just a little more, If you just want to lower for appearance, then they should be fine. IMO, save your money and either get coilovers or shocks and lowering springs or something a little better.
|
do both at the same time get shocks and proper springs or u will kick urself in the ass for such a crappy ride u have.imo generic cheap colis on stock shocks is unsafer and by far a crappier ride than stock springs on stock shocks
|
one of my buddies has those coilovers on his ek hatch with a 2 inch drop the ride is alright, but then again i have skunk 2 coilovers which i paid more then double what he paid and my ride is pretty much the same crap as his......What i'm trying to say is sleeve coilovers with stock shocks is not the way to go if u want a comfortable ride

Ahhhhhh...discisions, discisions!
It's pretty much just for appearance, nothing agressive or anything. I want to stick to a smaller rim (no more than 15") and slap on my lip kit. with a little drop it will look nice. For $100 brand new (so the person claims) i figured it would be alright for a year. Well, i def take in to consideration what all of you have said and if there is anymore to add, please do folks. let me know Jeron |
Take this into consideration, if you are looking to change it later down the line, why do the same job twice. Get a decent set up that won't kill your wallet, but at the same time isn't cheap, because if you are unhappy with what you got, you will be kicking yourself for not doing it right the first time.

what a waste of money to do anything half assed. car that old, you gotta be looking at shocks and a bushing kit first. or I guess if you have to drop it, look for some springs, and then quickly save money for shocks.
