disc break conversion
 
I have a 99 civic and want to put disc breaks in the back, has any one here done this? and if they have how hard is it to do? Thanks for any help.

i have them, just get a rear assembly and prop valve from an SIR or GSR, should bolt right in

most susp parts on the car are 2000 SiR parts with about 15-20K kms.

Oh, I thought JDM calipers were gold and North American ones were silver for some reason.

no they should all be cadmium plated or something like that. but from daily driving most of them look like pooh after a year or so.

I'm doing the same swap for a friend right now, except on a eg, I got the rear trailing arms and everything. I wanted to know ifI could re-use the parking brake cable and brake lines in the rear?
