Differences between years?
Is there any actual difference between cold air intake for a 96-98 and a 99-00 Civic DX. Like some companies split the intake into two categories and yet some sell them as 96-00 Intakes? For example, AEM sells their intakes as 96-00? I looked at some of the pictures of the products and I can't find any physical difference, except in some pictures there are two ports on the 99-00 Intakes where as the 96-98 have only one. By ports I mean where there is a silicon hose that connects from the valve cover to the intake; however I only see one connection in my civic neways? Does anybody know about this? Thanx

Yes you are correct, the pipe size is different, but what I'm wondering about is what is the difference between a 96-98 CAI and a 99-00 CAI for a DX engine. I know the engine is the same for 96-00, but how come some companies sell them as two separate intakes?

So you can use a 96-98 Intake on a 99 Civic?
Here is what I mean here are some pics to help out with what I'm saying.
Here is the 96-98 pic

Here is that same intake for 99-00 civics

Now from looking @ the pics the only difference I can spot is those little pipe connectors that branch off the pipe near where the throtle body is? Why is this so?
