Hey guys. Just got my car turboed and its tons of fun.... i got my car dynoed at neetoronics and it was fine. however the other night i was just taking my buddy for a rip and i heard this kinda tick. Paul told me that the detonation sounds like that... when him and i went for a rip on the highway to make sure everything was alright.... there was the same kinda tick. He said it should be fine but he couldn't figure out wat it was. neither can i.... eveerytime i hear it... i get right off the throttle. i am not running stupid amounts of boost either.. 6psi... Could it be my wastegate ? i have a screamer pipe but.. i don't think it ticks.. its not a continuouse tick... its like a tick tick tick... thats it... wastegate or something else? I am clueless... need some help.
also has anyone got weird idle after they got their a/c taken out? my idles a little wierd some days its good somedays its bad... but it idles good when i turn the a/c button on.... funny thing... i don't have a/c anymore. any ideas?

put in some better gasoline like c12 and see if the same symptoms persist
also the reason your idle SUCKS is i'm guessing you ahve larger injectors
if you do then here is why i feel your idle sucks...
when tuning the ecu you can only change the lenght of the injectors open. in the fuel maps
now, if you have larger injectors such as DSM 450's the ecu does not know this and it runs your engine warm up routine which is designed for small injectors.. and unknowingly exagerates the already heavily fueled routing.... thats why it' sonyl sometimes as well....
