Del Sol Info required

I may try to aquire a Del Sol for the summer...

I need some info since I know jack about the Del Sol

What engines will this thing easily take? I was thinking USDM or JDM b16 2nd Gen
in this case what is needed?

Looking for basically a shell to build... must be rust free if you guys know of one... prefer 93-95 (or is this a bad choice, I like the small lights in the middle!)

any other info on smart purchasing tips would help

Good luck finding a "shell" around here. Your lucky if they have "one" at the wreckers...

Any b series will bolt right in.

Del Sols do come with b16. A friend just told me he test drove a 95 dohc and it was going for 9 gs...

It might be cheeper to buy it compleate then to get a shell and swap it.

friend of mine is trying to sell his, with or without a JDM B18 (motor's out of the car right now) plenty of mods... email Richard at

Hey just saw this post!

Yeah if you want to save the $$$ just go for a del Sol VTEC not S or SI, VTEC. Comes with a B16A2 and 4 wheel disc.

If that's not enough car for you, you can get yourself the cheapest rust free sol which would prob be a 93 S and get youself a wrecked Integra GSR or hell even a type R and swap the whole thing in, B18, AND suspension with 4 wheel disc.

They featured this super swap in a tuning mag before.
