Dead battery = gauge problem???

Tonight I drained my battery because I had the car off but all my accessories on, plus my battery is weak to begin with due to performance world . So here's the deal... I called a cab to come boost my car... so he did and it started fine... but I noticed my Pyrometer gauge was no longer working?

So what happened? Is the sensor burnt? The light still works but it doesn't get a reading... so???

loose wire?

If the gauge still lights up, it could be the sensor, or a looose wire.

Did you put a fuse in line like you're supposed to? 5A fuse? Cuz if not... you prolly cooked your gauge with the boost, if you had a fuse, make sure it's not blown.

Depending on the make and model of gauge (ie. autometer ultralight) the light is a separate circuit from the gauge function. Not likely the sensor, rather the gauge itself!
