Dead 96ek????

I was driving home from work today.
I noticed that the temp of my car was going a little below the half point. Then I slow down coming close to the traffic light and the car seems to have lack of power and stall with the oil light coming on. I get a push start and drive it 1/2 a km and the engine looses all power, and the oil light goes on again.

DO you think my engine just died and lost all compression???

did u check your engine oil level?
did the CEL came on?
so the engine didn't overheat? since the temp needle is more to the C, right?
look in the engine bay.... you can run a compression test...
check the spark plugs and wires...
can the car still ignite and start?

oh oh haha.. and if the engine is really dead... i want the shell... i'll take out the motor myself... pm me what you want for the shell alone... i'm looking to 1/2 of what you were asking before for sale of your cx hatch... pm me and we'll talk

have it looked at by a mechanic and have it compression tested before you jump to conclusions

all these bastards just wanna lie to u and take ur shell.

TRUTH:
its probably a cheap fix and if it isnt who cares, d series motor isnt worth anything and u can get a very good condition one with tranny swapped (including labour and everyhting) for under $1000.
as long as the shell is in good condition its worth keeping.

having said that.. i think you should give me the shell for free cuz im a nice guy who isnt greedy like that asses ^.

I had the exact same problem, my oil light would come on and i would feel a loss of power, did thatr for about a week, I though i was running low on oil but the level was perfect then my engine just stopped, the oil pump failed , motor seizsed...

If you need an ignitor then I have one that will work with your car. I had the same problem but I ended up buying a whole new distributor instead. the Ignitor is brand new. PM if you want it
