DC stuff??
Have a guy that's parting out his EP3... just wondering if I should get his DC Headers and DC cat back exhaust
I believe the headers are 4-1 design, ceramic coated and the exhaust has 2 1/2 piping, with twin canister muffler (Carbon Fiber as well) any opinions? big gains? |
not big gains, but the parts are not bad if the price is right.
|
what would you consider "right" price? from what I know the parts are only a few months old... I'm curious, cuz he wants me to make an offer..
the exhaust I'm not 100% sure I'm gonna get, b/c I've heard a lot ppl just changing the midpipe to a 2 1/4" and taking off the resonator, and they've noticed great sound, and good performance (no loss of torque) it was either do that, or a Greddy Evo Exhaust btw I'm most likely gonna run a Comptech Ice Box with whatever setup I decide to go with |
75% of the cheapest price you can get NEW is reasonable.... OR... go to optauto.com and that price in USD... offer him the same numerical amount in CDN. That's a good deal :)
Comptech is nice :nods: |
CArbon fibre exhaust:D
|
thanks bbarbulo
can't seem to find the application for headers for my car on optauto.. unless it's the 4-2-1 that this guy has.. and it's on optauto for $317, which is cheaper than how I thought it would be... $572 for exhaust.... so I was figuring maybe offer $900?? dunno not sure... |

Yes, give him between $900-1000. That would be ONE HELLUVA DEAL!!
|
well I can get NEW parts for cost... so I'm still debating........ have to check out some prices first
don't think I will go with the exhaust.. it looks kinda funny on my car... looks good by itself though.... 1st thing is though to test drive his car with all the mods to see if there's any difference |
with 4-1 deisgn u will lose top end power...not significant amounst but 4-2-1 is much better....
|
why exactly is 4-2-1 much better?
I thought 4-1 were used for racing? |
