DC Sports race headers? WTF? meant for k20a swapped eks too
ok, so one again on the image in motions website and they have DC Sports full race headers... it has one for the integra type-r 06-97 ii dunno why just those years...
will it fit my ek with a b18c1? i just am going for the bigger motor because i want the header with a little more flow and the 2.5" collector. these headers apparently eliminate the cat? I LIKE!!!
plus, the have k20a2 headers for EGs/EKs and integras too
http://imageinmotion.com/DCS-01-AHC6612.htm
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
ok so this is the mild steel ceramic coated race-header designed for use without a cat and its only 370??? WTF... the SS polished and burshed ae 600+??? why would this be so cheap... i am thinkinig about ordering one to try out... for 370 and if it flows the same as the ones for 600?

thats just a general pic... all of the ads have the same pic... but if its race it must have more flow and with a 2.5" collector... i know the regular dc headers arent the best flow, but the quality should at least be there and if these flow betteR?

compare the DTR headers and you'll see what I mean..

I think they're misleading you with that general picture

you get what you pay for.
I'll never use a DC header again, nor will i recommend anyone else to use them.
You know why they use the same picture for every header, bc they use the same design for every application, just put a different flange on it and maybe extend the length of the collector so it'll line up with your car....lol....this is just speculation of course, but from what i've seen and the different cars/engines i've seen the DC headers on, they all look the same to me. A good header will have lots of research and development on them like the DTR, Rage, Hytech, SMSP, etc etc, peices.
DC in my opinion is garbage and i wouldn't put one on my car again if i got one for free.

I agree, DC headers are crap.
However, I'm not about to fork over a grand for my daily driver....lol....if I can almost as much performance gain from a header thats 1/3 the price....yeah.
If I was building an all out all-motor 1/4 mile car and I needed to extract every last hp out of the engine then yeah, I'd get the $1000 header...but only if it is the real deal and really is surpierior to everything else.

thats what i want... lol. they louder the better.
yeah, i am still sitting on the idea of the vibrant j-spec, but i just thought they must at least flow better than the reg dc headers and they are reasonably prices...

if you want a good flowing header for an awesome price... go with the Megan Racing 4-1 JDM Header... we dynoed a b16a in a crx with headwork and cams with this header.. dynoed close to 190 whp...

dc headers for the kseries swaps do not work at all they are just tsx headers that bolt up to any k series for proper use of them in k series swaps i have done i had to cut the headers and extend them yes they are cheaper but then i have to charge at least an hour to cut and lengthen them to make them fit eg and eks and such

yeah according to the site, thats what i thought. thanks justin for confirming

I would understand if you were trying to swap a K-series into your car and looking for a cheap way of having it running etc getting DC headers fine, even though i'd just wait longer and fork out alot more money for probably SMSP, but now that B-series parts are so cheap and your looking for performance then go with your vibrant jspec, or if you got the cash get the hytech headers.
If you just want to be loud , its really easy, just unbolt your current header to your midpipe. It'll sound loud enough that Peel will be up your *** every 5 minutes
