Cool. I'd liek to know how much a B20 block would cost.

Ummm, there is a shop in Detroit, MI that makes their own blocks too....they have some crazy hondas, like 350hp @ wheels kinda Civics. They're called....ummm.....****.....I forget. If you really wanna know, I can find an old receipt with the name.

that's alot of money for a bare block.

it's all godd though, have you considered the internals you'lll be going with?

Jugglez .. the internals I haven't yet .. I haven't settled on the block I'm putting in yet... I just thought this was the coolest thing I've seen for hondas.. truly completely customizable I was thinking of an eagle crank though and building a B21 block to have low compression but able to withstand high boost then run a big *** turbo....go for a small 5 psi boost for the street but at the track hit 20 or more psi .... just ideas I have ... mostly it's dreams till I pay off the credit card (got 1500 left) and then I'll think about getting serious with someone thats big into engine design ... I want to thoroughly think out everything before I commit...

this link is for a company that helped on the block design

You could get a b18b shortblock and resleeve it to 86mm, this will get you close to a 2.1L .. and it'll cost you less than $2000 US plus shipping and brokerage... that is assuming you use the B18B or B20 crank (yes they are the same crank, rods are also the same).
I would suggets you speak with Steven Leitner of Leitner Performance (click the banner above).. they've built many applications similar to what you're planning.

ohhh I will be doing that too (when I have time) I mean I've never built an engine before and I think if I was to build one I'd want at least someone with experince saying stuff like "your screwing that up... you didn't torque those bolts down enough... your crank shaft is going to fall out if you do that....this is how you put a piston into the block.... that is how you setup your car to launch a piston througha block" etc etc etc... I will be going there to get Ideas... but in the end ... I'm planning on a very very very nice job... I want high perforance but I also want quality and relability....

YES GUY!!! Payne Technologies is the shop I was talking about too.... what a coincidence I saw this block there in the summer of last year. It's nice!! The shop is excellent!!! but their tuning is known to be a little on the safe side (read: can get more power by pushing the envelope). But he builds reliable, fast, street cars. His name is Tom Payne.

I'm going to have to send him an email and request more info .. then look it up on the net to get any "bad" feed back. safe tuning is ok ... ut with tons of horse power and safe tuning... I'd be happy ... no need to wreck anything pushing the envelope...

in my above post I said I'd get info from the manufacturers of the block (which I have) however info from the manufacturers is biased are they going to tell you about issue that their blocks have ... they might if it's a problem with a certain head or gasket or something ....but there is stuff they won't say and thats where the internet comes in, people that have used those blocks and had problem will post that stuff on the net so finding out the stuff the manufacturer doesn't want you to know is something I do so that I can make an informed decision
