d16z6 rpms

on my engine the fuel cut off is at 7500 rpm... is there any benefit to raising it to like 8000?? or can the engine even handle those stresses??

just curious...

re-program the computer, or get it chipped.

that's pretty much the only way. Since it's encoded into your computer for that certain RPM, you need to get rid of it.

well ya i can have that done for free minus a chip.... i'm just wondering if there is any benefit to raising the rpm.... like a b16 revs to 8500 and makes lots more power then my engine

well I'd be thinking that you will have your power before redline, so if you just go past redline, it will put some strain on your motor but you won't be puttin much HP

I think that, not too sure

ya thats what i was thinking... but if the fuel maps were changed maybe it would work? i dont know... for the sake of my engine i think it'd be best not to raise the fuel cut off

well can't you raise your fuel map with the VAFC(or something like that)

so Chip the motor then use the VAFC to tune to ECU

I wonder if that would work?

if you chip it to rev higher be prepared for a swap

constant high reving is bound to spin a bearing
